Jacque Tietjen: Assistant Coach

Jacque Tietjen

Jacque is a mountaineer and skier from Sandy, Utah. She developed her passion for skiing in the Wasatch Mountains and for climbing in the Rockies of Colorado. Her journey in mountaineering began at a young age, scaling her first class 3 peak at 12,000 feet when she was 8, and achieving her first Colorado 14er by 13.

Fascinated by Everest and the Himalayas since childhood, Jacque took her first step towards that dream in 2018 with a trek to Everest Base Camp and a climb to 18,500 feet on Kala Patthar. In 2019, she summited Kilimanjaro and has also tackled notable peaks including Mount Rainier, Mount Whitney, King’s Peak, and over 15 unique Colorado 14ers over the years. Her passion for mountaineering continues to drive her, with plans to return to Nepal for greater challenges. Jacque is proud to be a sponsored athlete in skiing and mountaineering by Black Diamond Equipment, La Sportiva, and Stio. 

Jacque is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer  She has built an extensive teaching and coaching background spanning back to 2007, she has mentored athletes in diverse disciplines including mountaineering, skiing, rock climbing, swimming, cycling, aerial arts, dance, tumbling, powerlifting, field sports, and yoga. And is Certified in Sports Psychology. Jacque also holds a Bachelors in Health and Physical Education from Utah Valley University and is a registered yoga teacher. 

Jacque is an amazing mountaineering coach. She helped me on treks that I thought were impossible for me to do. She instilled encouragement and helped ease my fear to perform well on the most challenging terrains. owe it to Jacque who not only coached me in preparation but also accompanied me on this treacherous hike, guiding me along the way to summit it.

Courtney Weare: Director of Strength Programming

As a NASM certified personal trainer, Courtney has been coaching clients and teaching group fitness for many years. Whether coaching private training clients or motivating a group, Courtney's goal is to give clients a safe and worthwhile experience.  The drive to continue to deliver the best that exercise science has to offer, has led Courtney to specialize and earn multiple certifications in women's fitness, nutrition and corrective exercise. 

As a military Veteran, she is no stranger to the hard work and discipline requited to achieve the strength needed to reach personal fitness and performance goals. She believes that each client deserves a unique approach to finding their way to success.
